If you need me I’ll be in my head
You can still be surprised by things unsaid
Solipsist whispers drowning my mind
It takes so much thought not to think all the time
Closer to me and look in my eyes
You’ve got to live in the dark before you see the light
But I see clearer now with my eyes closed
A view just for me superimposed
If you need me I’ll be in my head
Why’s it so hard to articulate
And what the point in trying if no-one relates
So easy to get stuck in the mud
Without somebody there to pull you up
If you need me I’ll be in my
My skull is numb and my head alive
I swear there’s room enough in here to hide
If you need me I’ll be in my head
If you need my I’ll be in

Lipstick

Now that you want me I don't want you
And next time you see me I'll look straight through
You never pictured yourself in the cold
Without a cigarette in hand to hold
You try to raise your perfect brown eyebrows
But your face doesn't move the same way now
The greyhound stopped running long ago girl
The rabbit still going round in circles
You stole the key to my house last weekend
To show me what you look like in my bed
But lipstick stains on my collar show you
Don't mean as much to me as you want to

What I Do

Ah well look at me now
I'm the tallest in the house
Oh and cut your cheap tricks
You can't grow up that quick
Ah stand back and shut your mouth
I'll do the talking for you now
Oh and cut your cheap tricks
Change the colour of the lips
You don't know what I do
Ah well look at you now
In a tent inside a house
Oh and cut your cheap tricks
You can't grow up that quick
You don't know what I do
